Integrated Psycho-Acoustic Know-How
 
  With traditional methods, the analysis of disturbing components and sound design is a very time-consuming expert task. The siVision software from Akustik Technologie Göttingen offers interactive and intuitive sound design by integrating new algorithms into signal processing.
The siVision program visualizes what the human hearing system perceives acoustically and enables a separate filtering of disturbing elements and background noise in an easy way. Tonal components are automatically separated from the noise and rated in regard to their perceptibility. This is performed using curves of equal loudness which are calculated from the background noise. The displayed loudness levels are adjustable according to the quality requirements and allow disturbing components to be rated. The ratings can be acoustically tested immediately. All features are presented in a clear technical view.

The user has full control of the noise:

As already stated, the analysis of disturbing components and sound design is a very time-consuming expert task with traditional methods. In contrast, siVision separates disturbing components without special previous psycho-acoustic knowledge. This considerably simplifies the identification of various tonal components as well as the noise floor. siVision is based on a new analysis method utilizing a model of the human hearing system and special filters.
The values are calculated on a hearing-matched frequency scale and normalized according to the classic 1/3 octave analysis. The level ratio of tonal contents to total noise is given directly in dB. The strength of a disturbing component can be determined quantitatively. The single noise components can be intuitively influenced.
The sound simulation enables the user to set specific targets for noise optimization of the real object. Tonal components can be analyzed either as order over the RPM or within the frequency domain.
